Introduction to the production process of high aluminum refractory balls
High aluminum content refractory balls are also called spherical regenerators. Spherical regenerators have good resistance to thermal shock, large heat reserve and high strength. Suitable for selecting regenerative bead combustion systems for gas and non-gas fueled industrial furnaces. Aluminosilicate refractory materials with an Al2O3 content of more than 48% collectively called high-aluminum refractory materials. The following is an introduction to the production process of high aluminum heat storage balls.

Production Process of High Aluminum Fireproof Balls
- Selection and sorting of aluminous clinker
First select the raw material, compliant. High-aluminum clinker is the main raw material for the production of high-aluminum refractory balls. Bauxite clinker must be strictly sorted and selected in this way, to avoid mixing with mixed impurities. According to the quality requirements of different brands of high aluminum content refractory balls, different grades of raw materials are selected.
- Finely grind the clinker and binding clay.
A portion of the aluminous clinker is mixed and finely ground with the binder clay., which improves the quality of the refractory ball product, control the secondary mullitization reaction in the matrix and eliminate or reduce the effect of secondary mullitization on the surface of the clinker particles. The effect is wonderful.
- Firing temperature

The firing temperature of high alumina refractory balls mainly depends on the sintering characteristics of the alumina clinker. When using special grade aluminous clinker, due to the homogeneous and dense structure of the raw material and the high content of Fe2O3 and TiO2 impurities, the raw mass is easy to bake, and the sintering temperature range is narrow, which easily leads to burnout or underburning. Therefore, secondary alum is used. When using clay clinker due to expansion and loosening effects, caused by secondary polymerization, the raw mass is not easy to sinter, therefore the firing temperature must be relatively high. Refractory balls with high alumina content can be fired at the same temperature, which is 1450°C when fired in an inverted flame kiln.
Precautions in the production process of high aluminum content refractory balls
- Conduct on-site inspection of raw materials for fireproof ball production, and samples will be tested for test firing and physical and chemical parameters. Test results can only be used after, how they will meet user requirements. The purchased raw materials will be strictly tested and processed to particle size 0-3 And 180 stove. Powder is removed using a magnetic iron removal device with power 16000 Tue, and then goes into the hopper for use.

- The production of molds is carried out in the molding shop, and the dimensions of semi-finished products must be checked. Only after confirming their correctness can they be heated.
- In the molding shop, the particle size and grinding fineness of the raw materials are randomly checked using a sampling sieve. After passing the test, the raw materials are dosed using an electronic dispenser and then enter the mixing mill for mixing. The trapped material will be removed from the mold via 10-15 minutes, starting from 2-4 hours. During molding, the number of single blows and the density of the semi-finished product are checked. Mass production can only be carried out after confirmation.
- The resulting semi-finished products must have the same specific gravity, smooth surface, without burrs and brown eyes, before they can be loaded into the oven for the next process.
- Fireproof semi-finished balls in the firing shop, entering the oven, should be checked for burrs and brown eyes. Only after proper testing can they be installed in the oven.. When installing the oven, they must be handled with care and placed wisely and carefully.
- After leaving the kiln, the finished refractory balls are inspected for size and appearance.. After checking they are ready to ship.
